SUPPORT
Everything you need to know before your pup's stay.
We know you want the best for your fur baby, and we're here to make sure you feel confident and informed before booking. Below are some of the most common questions we receive from pet parents. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, don't hesitate to reach out!
There are many reasons why puppies and adult dogs should be sent to a daycare. Dogs are social creatures but when puppies and adults are not socialized they often gain unwanted behaviors such as becoming skittish, nervous, and sometimes reactive/aggressive. It is imperative for you to socialize and give your dog structure. So that leaves you with two choices, socialize them in unscreened dog parks/dog friendly areas, or take them to doggy daycare where we provide a structured, convenient, and safe place for your dog to learn social skills and exercise!
If your dog is already reactive, don't worry — please talk to us about a personalized evaluation. We work with each dog individually and can often help reactive dogs build confidence in a controlled environment.
We require the following vaccinations for all dogs staying with us:
We also strongly recommend the Canine Influenza Vaccine (CIV / Dog Flu) — H3N2 and H3N8. While not required, it is highly recommended for dogs that will be in group play settings.
Please note: we do not accept home-administered vaccinations. All vaccines must be given by a licensed veterinarian with proper documentation.
Every dog that joins our daycare goes through a temperament evaluation on their first visit. This helps us make sure your pup is a good fit for our group play environment and that they'll have a great time!
During the evaluation, we introduce your dog slowly and carefully to our space and to other dogs. We observe their body language, energy level, play style, and how they respond to new environments. This process is stress-free and at your dog's pace — there's no rushing.
The evaluation typically lasts about 2-3 hours, and we'll keep you updated throughout. If your dog isn't quite ready for full group play, we'll work with you on a plan to help them build confidence and comfort over time.
At PAWZ, we're not a kennel or a facility — we're a home. Your dog stays in our actual home where they get to sleep on beds, relax on furniture, and be treated like a member of the family. We keep our group sizes small so every dog gets personal attention and care.
We send daily photo and video updates so you always know how your pup is doing. We're bilingual (English and Spanish), and we genuinely love what we do. Our 5-star rating on Rover with 258+ reviews speaks for itself — pet parents trust us because their dogs are truly happy here.
Our commitment is simple: your pet's home away from home. We treat every dog the way we'd want our own dogs to be treated.
No, your dog does not need to be spayed or neutered to attend PAWZ. However, we do have specific protocols in place for intact (unfixed) dogs to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all pups.
Intact males and females are closely monitored during group play. If a female is in heat, she cannot attend daycare or boarding until her cycle is complete. We also reserve the right to separate dogs during play if we observe any mounting or overly dominant behavior.
Please let us know during booking if your dog is intact so we can plan accordingly and make the best arrangements for everyone.
Our dogs have the best days! They spend their time in our open play area where they can run, play, and socialize with other pups in a supervised, safe environment. We rotate between active play sessions and rest periods throughout the day to keep energy levels balanced.
Our staff is CPR and First Aid certified for pets, so your dog is always in safe hands. Between play sessions, your pup gets belly rubs, cuddles, and one-on-one attention. We also provide fresh water throughout the day and feeding at scheduled meal times (you provide your dog's food).
For our boarding guests, daycare is included free of charge! So whether your dog is here for the day or staying overnight, they get the full PAWZ experience — play, socialization, love, and rest.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Every dog deserves a home, not a kennel. We created PAWZ because we believe boarding should feel like a second home, not a facility. Your dog sleeps on real beds, plays in real spaces, and gets real love.
Safety and transparency are non-negotiable. From required vaccinations to daily photo updates, we make sure you always know your pup is safe, healthy, and having the time of their life.
Socialization changes lives. We've seen shy, anxious dogs transform into confident, happy pups through consistent, structured daycare. The right environment makes all the difference.
Whether it's their first visit or their fiftieth, every dog at PAWZ gets the same level of care, attention, and love. That's not just our promise — it's who we are.
